I will always remember John for the kindness he gave to me as a geeky little nerd just starting at East Junior. We were standing in line waiting to go into school and struck up a conversation with each other. I was getting picked on by some of the older kids and he let them know that wasn't cool. He let me know if I ever had that happen again, come and let him know and he'd take care of it. Met him again a few years later and thanked him for making me feel safe at a time I didn't. He thanked me for remembering...

So sorry to hear of John´s passing. My sincere condolences to all of John´s family and friends. I remember playing against him in LL games at Stow Flats (now known as Cheri Lindsey Park) rumor back then he launched one on the roof of the department store. He certainly was feared at the plate. As we grew up he was a pleasure to be around. I remember throwing a few back at the Klub on Clinton St. always had great conversations with him when ever I saw him. RIP John God bless your soul surly you will be missed by many. Mark Bohunicky Naples Florida

His presence in my life as a teenager was protective. He was always telling me to hit the road when the party was getting underway. Making sure I was safe. He has a heart of gold and a smile to match. Miss you The Mountain that Moves

Not THE GodFather but My GodFather! Been A Huge part of my life since I was born. There are So many memories of our lives together that I could't possibly pick one specifically to share. Although one of my oldest and most loved memory comes in the form of His (famous in my mind) farewell statement I heard and enjoyed
so much from him thru-out my entire life. Happens to be somewhat fitting for
this
time
of
loss.
SEE YA LATERRR---CrRraaabby!!!❤️ (minus
the super cool accompanying waving gestures of his hand)
He will be missed, never forgotten and always loved.
