To the Gallagher family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Danny Gallagher as I remember him as Danny growing up on Carhart Ave. I would have been at his funeral today if I still lived in the area, but I live in SC for 3 years. I found out about Dan's passing from Jim Dempsey who i keep in contact with.
Dan is with his savior in heaven & out of his pain on earth & I hope that is a blessing to his family.
My thoughts & prayers go out to the entire family as I remember the Gallagher family well growing up.

I have many good memories of laughing with Dan on the sidelines of our sons games at St. Mary's CYO or Christian Brothers. His sharp wit got me through many games, rain or shine. He was a devoted father and would have been an amazing grandpa. I'm sorry we will not get to see that. Requiescat in pace, Dan, I hope the heavens are ready for a good joke.

Who could not think of Danny and do anything but smile? Such a wonderful fellow. Sincerest condolences to all that loved him.
Danny and I went K-12 togethet at Saint James and CC/SCC. We lived 1 street apart growing up. He was my Kindergarten boyfrien! During our younger years, we joked and laughed until our stomachs hurt. Our Sports rows were respectful, though, occasionally loud!
Our Mom’s went to nursing school together. His family was terrific.
Back in 2016, my Mom passed, Danny wrote me some truly lovely memories of her. His E-Mail was a bright spot during such a sad time…
Rest in Peace, Danny.
May you bask in God’s love, and Heaven’s joy forever!
BTW, you always could beat me at most every sport, except Badminton. There we were tied…

Danny was truly a wonderful person and the personification of the word friend. He was always so quick with his wit and humor and just as quick to lend a helping hand or word.
He had an infectious laugh that just exploded out of him! Danny was an incredibly loyal friend, a shoulder to lean on and always so supportive in difficult times. Most importantly he was just THE most fun person to be around. He was a joyful warrior.
I used to tease Danny he had two great loves in his life; his wonderful son Eoin and his beautiful head of hair. He was so very proud of Eoin’s accomplishments and his burgeoning career as a lawyer.( And also pretty proud of his hair.)
I will forever miss his beautiful soul, his contagious laugh and his infectious spirit.
Rest in Peace my dear dear friend. You were the best version of a friend anyone could ever ask for. Til we meet again.
My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Gallagher, his beloved Eoin and all of his family.

Danny was my first cousin. I always looked forward to seeing him at our annual (LPG) reunion. We played golf together a few years ago in our annual tournament. I don’t think we scored very well, but no one had a better time than we did. He was always fun to be around. My heart goes out to his family, especially his son, Eoin and his Mom, Aunt Jo.
He will be greatly missed!
May he rest in peace!

My husband Timmy Merriam played basketball with Danny and Pat in the Gallagher back yard as kids. He always told me stories how Mr Gallagher would come out and say Timmy you are here a little too early come back when the boys are up. He loved there! That family made him a better person. He had so much respect for Mr. And Mrs G He would talk with Danny on the phone and text before Timmy passed in 2020. It meant the world for him to reminisce all the stories of the good old days. Much love and prayers to family and friends.
