I was barely a teenager when Syd and Jeff Davis were married in the Skinner Chapel at 2nd Congregational church Holyoke MA. Sydney's in-laws Pat and Kim Davis were family friends of my parents, Ginnie and Sam Potsubay. Sam and Kimball had been roommates and fraternity brothers at Amherst College. They helped arrange a wedding for Jeff and Syd at our church. Syd wore a beautiful pastel suit and had the most gorgeous legs any of us had ever seen. She was grateful to my parents for their arranging a small wedding in such a lovely Gothic chapel. Syd sent a note to my folks each year on their anniversary, for decades.
