To Eric's family and friends:
Words can't describe the amount of sadness we feel in hearing the news of Eric's passing. His intellect, humor, and kind nature are very much lacking in our world and losing him leaves a void that won't ever be filled.
Thank you to his family for allowing him the time share his talents with us as umpires, and most of all, as friends. Meetings in Binghamton, the state baseball tournament, and just wonderful phone conversations will be sorely missed.

My sincerest condolences to you all for your loss. Eric was a wonderful person who was always kind and helpful. I always appreciated his support of the Catholic Schools and enjoyed all the times he emcee'd the Green Tie dinners. A few years back, he bought the Red Sox tickets I donated to the Bids for Boosters auction. I'm glad you got to experience the magic of Fenway Park together. God bless you all, and God speed, Eric.

Eric And I met on the baseball field. From that initial meeting formed a longtime friendship. He was an outstanding umpire, and an even better person. We shared many hours at various tournaments and continued our relationship during the off season. He was one of the nicest most decent people I have ever had the good fortune to meet. My sincerest condolences to his family on the great loss.
