Paul Chambers, of Binghamton, died Saturday, November 7, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Howard Chambers; his sister, Delores Cuddihe; his brothers, Raymond and Larry; and his two sons, Dennis and Brian. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan; his sister, Joan Rita Chambers; his brothers, Gordon (Sandy) Chambers and Gerald (Fran) Chambers; his sons, Kevin (Megan), Eric (Janet) and Trevor (Melanie). Also, he is survived by his in-laws, John (Martha) Mathis, Joe (Mary Jane) Mathis, James (Anne) Mathis, Kathleen (Gordon) Kniffen, Edward (Jean) Mathis, David Mathis, Karen (Tom) Rattman, Mary (William) Burgoon, and Teresa (Darryl) Nelson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Zackery, Gabrielle, Jonah, Ruby and Lila; and great-grandchildren, Penelope, Isaac and Olivia. Paul taught Latin and English at Windsor Central School; Philosophy and Effective Speaking at Broome Community College for 45 years. He received the Chancellor Award for Excellence in Teaching. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Main Street, Johnson City, on Tuesday at 1pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St, Binghamton, on Monday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Paul's name may be made to SUNY Broome's Student Scholarship Foundation, BCC Foundation, c/o Cathy Williams, PO Box 1017, Binghamton, NY 13902.
