I knew Paul at BCC as an engaging, gentle Christian man and philosopher. He always elevated our conversations above the daily toil. Your faith has saved you, old friend, and one day, I'll see you there.

I knew Paul both from Greene and as a co-faculty member at BCC. He was a charming, genuine and caring person. He lived his religion daily. All who knew him were blessed. I know he will be missed by many.

Mrs, Chambers, Kevin, Eric and Trevor;
I was very sad to hear of Mr. Chambers' passing. So many great memories during my growing up years in Greene. Often he would see me, and my siblings walking through town, heading back home, and many times he would stop, and ask us if we wanted a ride up the hill. Many times we did. I can still see his car sitting in the half driveway at the house in Greene, so that Mrs. Chambers could get her car in and out of the driveway.
Whether at church, parties, or even at the mall, whenever I would see your dad, he always made me feel welcomed, and always interested in what was going on in my world. And then, he would even begin to ask about my family. Of course it wasn't till I was older that I knew he went to high school with two of my aunts in his class. When I was home last, I saw a picture my aunt had in her photo album of her with three other classmates, and I said, that's Paul Chambers. I think he was about 14, but it was in fact him. Trevor looked just like him when he was young.
I last saw Mr. Chambers, about 7 years ago, and it seemed like no time had gone by at all. In fact, it seems like that 7 years was just a year ago. Time is certainly moving ahead. But I’m grateful that for a time, I knew a man named Paul Chambers, and his friendship over the years has made a lasting impression on my mind, and my heart.
So please know, my heart, and my prayers are with you as you birth him into heaven, to reunite with his sons Dennis, and Brian, and all the family members and friends who have gone before him.
I am thankful for the part Paul Chambers played in my life, and will hold dear the memories and moments he lived while here. It was my honor to know him, and to call him a friend.
Mrs. Chambers, Kevin, Eric, and Trevor, hold him close in your heart, and he'll always be near. My prayers and love are with you all.
With my deepest respect,
Thom Carlin

To the family:
So sorry to hear the news of Paul passing. What a wonderful, kind, friendly and funny man Paul was. I was blessed to have known him the few years that he came into our department in the Learning Assistance Center to leave test for his students. He always had a joke to share with all of us and of course he left us all laughing hysterically. God had blessed each of us with his sense of humor. He is now being embraced by the arms of God in Heaven for sure!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Paul Chambers. He was one of my professors at SUNY Broome and was instrumental in guiding me to excel in public speaking. His class opened doors for me that would have otherwise stayed shut. I loved the class and his teaching. I will forever be in debt to him for helping me find my voice and the ability to share it with others.
Please know I will be keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace during this difficult time.
God Bless,
Darlene

Paul you always had a corny joke to share and you always had a smile. It was a pleasure to video tape your speech classes at BCC. Thank You and God Speed my friend.
