Obituary of Thomas E Harding

Thomas E. Harding | Visit Guest Book Harding, Thomas Ezra Binghamton: Thomas Ezra Harding, 79, of Binghamton, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, June Buchta Harding; grandparents, Marie and John; parents, Ezra and Ann Harding; and grandson, Matthew McManus. He is survived by his children, Diane and Dave Cobb, JoAnne and Dan McManus, Thomas and Susanne Harding, Michael and Ann Harding, Dan and Becky Harding; his grandchildren, Steven and Jennifer Cobb, Jennifer Cobb, Danny and Tori McManus, Shannon McManus, Emily Harding, Sean Harding, Natalie Harding, Amelia Harding, Grace Harding, Lily Harding, Ava Harding; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Isabella Cobb; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. John and Marie Harding and family; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and George Hays and family; sister-in-law, Diane Derr and family; and the Keenan families. Tom was a 1950 graduate of St. Paul's High School. He was a proud member of the United States Navy 1951-1955 and actively served on the USS Ingraham, DD694 during the Korean Conflict. He worked at IBM Endicott, NY for 34 years as a computer software engineer. Tom and his wife June were active members of the Church of Saints John and Andrew in Binghamton, NY. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Broome County Republican Committee and the Perpetual Adoration group of St Patrick's Church. Tom was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and friend to many. He placed his faith in God and dedication to his family above all else. Tom was known for his abilities to repair and maintain many things and would often stop what he was doing to help others in need of his talents. He enjoyed hockey in the local Binghamton area throughout the 70s and 80s and was a dedicated NY Ranger fan, continuing to watch the NHL until his death. Tom and June are now together again in heaven surrounded by friends and family who have passed on and are at peace with God. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to Loaves and Fishes Pantry, 7 Livingston Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
