Joseph D. Lynch | Visit Guest Book Lynch, Joseph D. Binghamton: Joseph D. Lynch, 75, of Binghamton, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Lynch; and his son, Michael P. Lynch. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Lynch, Binghamton; his sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Mary Lee Lynch, Camden, ME, Patrick and Noele Lynch, Binghamton; daughter-in-law, Teresa A. Lynch, Hillcrest; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Joseph Lynch, McKenzie Lynch, Liam and Magdalene Lynch; brothers, Thomas and Nancy Lynch, Endwell, John and Carolyn Lynch, Binghamton, Cornelius and Carole Lynch, NC, Dennis Lynch, VT; a sister, Vickie Clarke, Endwell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Joseph Pierson; several nieces and nephews. Joe joined the Binghamton Police Department in 1959 and retired as Chief of Police in 2003. He was a US Army Veteran. The family wishes to thank Joe's close friends for their love and support: Jim and Rosemary Shea, John and Betty Joyce, Gerald Mollen and Alex Minor. Many thanks to Dr. Richard Baron for his kindness and caring for Joe for many years. At Joe's insistence there will be no visiting hours, but a Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton.
