Obituary of Marjorie H. Curtis

Curtis, Marjorie Helen Binghamton: Marjorie Helen Curtis, 91, of Binghamton, NY, went to be with her Lord after a long illness on April 13, 2013. She was born on November 21, 1921. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard Scott Curtis; her parents, George and Elizabeth (Megivern) Bujake; her sisters, Georgetta Tolan and Elizabeth Packer; brothers, Gerard and George Bujake; nephew, Tom Tolan, Bill and Bob Packer; niece, Karen Veninsky Wood. She is survived by one son, James Scott Curtis (Joan Ngo), Johnson City; one grandson, James W. Curtis; one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Custer. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Veninsky; and many nieces and nephews. Marge was born and raised in Carbondale, PA and graduated from St. Rose High School. She aided the war effort by inspecting airplane propellers at the Remington Rand Plant in Westover, NY. In later years, she was employed by Columbian Mutual Life and the Johnson City School District. Before her illness, she was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. The family would like to thank the staff of the Star Unit of the James G. Johnston Nursing Home for their loving care. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
