William J. Murphy | Visit Guest Book Murphy, William J. Chenango Bridge: William J. Murphy, 68 of Chenango Bridge died unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Margaret Murphy and by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Gary Deane, Chenango Bridge; his sisters, Helen and Chauncey Richardson, Anna Mae and John Tokos, Janet LaVasser, Kathy and James Farmer; brother, Leo Murphy; several nieces and nephews and his favorite puppy "Scooter". Bill attended St. James School and St. Patrick's Academy. He worked at Systems Manufacturing and retired from Buckingham Manufacturing. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Thursdy at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at he J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bill may be made to Mark Simonis Scholarship Fund, Attn. Scholarship Coordinator, Guidance Office, Chenango Valley High School, 221 Chenango Bridge Rd., Binghamton, NY 13901.
