Cindy Schermerhorn | Visit Guest Book Schermerhorn, Cindy Brown Cindy Brown Schermerhorn, 60, of Brackney, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, January 9, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Owen and Delora Zaske. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Schermerhorn, Brackney, PA, a son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Michelle Pederson, Hamilton, NJ, a daughter, Michelle Pederson and her fiance Joe Kemmerer, Binghamton, step-children; Erin and Rob Cacala, Endwell, Wendy Schermerhorn, Binghamton, grandchildren; Rachel, Cayden, Emma and an expected granddaughter in March, a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Barb Zaske, a sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Bill Miller, mother-in-law, Elda Jackson, in-laws; Roy and Suzanne Schermerhorn, Linda and Jim Hunter, Teresa and Rick Brown, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cindy enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She was the best mother, wife and grandmother in the whole world. A funeral service will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St. Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Scott Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Cindy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 13 Beech St. Johnson City, NY 13790.
