Linda J. Gennarelli | Visit Guest Book Gennarelli, Linda J. (Decker) Binghamton: Linda J. Gennarelli, 71, of Binghamton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Mariam Decker of Binghamton and her daughter, Susan E. Gennarelli. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jim; her loving sons, Robert (Beth) of Albany, David (Robin) of Corte Madera, California; her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel and Piper of Corte Madera, California; her sister, Barbara Keyes of Binghamton; her brother Donald Decker (Narda) of Durham, NC; her brothers-in-law, Daniel M. Gennarelli (Daisy) of Baltimore, Maryland and Mark J. Gennarelli (Alice) of Binghamton; and several nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Linda had several careers during her life including the Gennarelli family restaurant, Eber Bros. Wine and Liquor and Sarkisian Brothers Inc. where she retired in 2006 to spend the winter months in Venice, Florida with her husband and the many friends that she and Jim made there. Linda was a familiar figure on the West Side of Binghamton where she enjoyed daily walks and was known for her friendliness and great personality. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her, including the birds and squirrels that she fed daily and for her caring and compassionate ways. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Timothy J. Taugher will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Linda may be made to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903.
