Ellen Mantas | Visit Guest Book Mantas, Ellen Binghamton: Ellen Mantas of Binghamton died Sunday morning, November 13, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Mantas; her son, Charles Mantas; son-in-law, Gus L. Papastrat; grandson, Louis G. Papastrat; and a brother, William John. She is survived by her children, Christine Papastrat, Binghamton, William and Ardie Mantas, Binghamton; her grandchildren, Terry Papastrat, Joanne and Ken Avery, Bill and Susan Papastrat, Tammy and Art Hujar, Marie and Jim Orcutt, Susan and Steve Gates; great-grandchildren, Constance and Brandon Schwartz, Kimberly Papastrat, Ray, Tami and Jessica. Ellen was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Binghamton, and was co-owner with her husband of Tom and Marty's Tavern on State Street in Binghamton. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Reverend Fr. Zinoviy Zharsky will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Trisagion Service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ellen may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
