LaMantia, Mildred V. Binghamton: Mildred V. LaMantia of Binghamton died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Salvatore V. LaMantia; a brother, Arthur; and a sister, Rosemary. She is survived by her children, Sally McDonald, Barbara Lindenmuth, Rose and Joseph Mack, all of Binghamton, Anthony and Anne LaMantia, Richmond, VA, Salvatore J. LaMantia, Thomas and Sharon LaMantia, John and Amy LaMantia, all of Binghamton; 20 grandchildren, Joseph, Keith, Neil, Scott, Brian, Matt, Mark, Kelly, Chris, Ryan, Kevin, Katie, Michael, Megan, Brittany, Rachael, Vincent, Jack, Julie, Zach; great-grandson, Alex; her brothers and sisters, Marie, Dorothy, Erma, Earl, Henry, John; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. She was a former employee of Kimberly Quality Care. Mildred enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our mother. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick's Church Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mildred may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 46 Oak St., Binghamton, NY 13905.
