Obituary of Alvin A. Delgado

Delgado, Alvin A. Binghamton: Alvin A. Delgado "Mr. D.", age 41, of Binghamton, died Friday, August 12, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Rosanna Fernandez, Binghamton; his sons, Alexis and Cristian Delgado, at home; his parents, Naldo and Nereida Delgado, Puerto Rico; brother and sister, Arnald Delgado, Indianapolis, IN and Leisha Delgado, FL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Violeta and Francisco Fernandez; and brother-in-law, Juan Fernandez; several cousins. He was a member of Public Square Ministries, Binghamton. Alvin was a graduate of Binghamton University where he received his Bachelor's Degree and two Master's Degrees. He taught at Seton Catholic Central High School, West Middle School and the Regents Academy at Binghamton High School. He founded a program "Brother to Brother" and helped kids be better people. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. The family requests that flowers please be omitted and memorial contributions in his memory be made to an educational trust for his sons, c/o Visions Federal Credit Union, 3301 Country Club Road, Endwell, NY 13760.
