Demchak, Nicholas A. Binghamton: Nicholas A. Demchak, 79 of Hawleyton died unexpectedly Saturday evening, July 16, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Helen Demchak and a brother, Charles R. Demchak. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Demchak, Hawleyton; his children, David and Marilyn Demchak, CA, Karen Ehinger, MD, Michele Ellsworth and fianc?, Michael Iadanza, Binghamton, James McBride, Portland, ME; grandchildren, Dayna, Michael, Nicole, David, Nicholas and Kyle; his dog "Ginger"; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Ed Bernhauer, Dave Lee, Ray Giblin and family, Elinor Williams, Terri Brown, John and Lois Nagy. Nick was a graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy and proprietor of Dixon's Drug Store in Binghamton and was employed at Revco, Medicine Shoppe and Brooks Pharmacies. He loved golf and food. In retirement, he was a school crossing guard for the Binghamton School District. Memorial services will be held at the Tower of Memories at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Thursday at 1 p.m. Reverend Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Nick may be made to the American Heart Association , 59 Court St., Binghamton, NY 13901 or Project Paw, 127 Bevier St. Binghamton, NY 13904. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton.
