Type Obit Here Martino, Albert T. Binghamton: Albert T. Martino, 85, of Binghamton, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford. He was predeceased by his wife, Maria Marcello Martino; his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Martino; his sisters, Marlene Martino and Agnes and Joseph Filetto; and mother-in-law, Elena Marcello. He is survived by three sons, Albert T. Martino Jr. and Harold Lohner, Albany, Dennis and Roxanne Martino, William and Marlene Martino, all of Binghamton; his grandchildren, Megan and Colin Martino, Nicholas Martino and Erin Rosenzweig, Angela Martino; seven step-grandchildren; his brother, Thomas and Mary Martion, Canandaigua; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alice and Joe Kocik, Paul Marcello and Thomas Marcello; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton. Al retired from the IBM Corporation and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 80. He was a 33-year member of the Fellowship and a recipient of the Dr. James L. Palmer Award and a Hospice volunteer. Al enjoyed golf and was an avid NY Yankee and Notre Dame fan. The family wishes to thank the staff of the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford, especially the staff on Maple Wing. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Al may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
