Conklin: Luba Anna Sophia Boyko, 76, of Conklin, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 4, 2011. Little One Luba was born in Ternopil, Ukraine and immigrated with her parents in 1948. Little One, Luba is survived by her husband, Stephen Boyko; her sons, Michael and Judith Lynn Bohdan, Mark Stephen Boyko, Portland, OR; daughter, Christina Marie and Donald Farquhar, Niskayuna, NY; her grandchildren, Zachary Bohdan Boyko and Maren Anastasia Boyko; a sister, Helen and Paul Ewasko, Dalton, PA; brothers, George and Christine Izak, Warminster, PA, Nicholas Izak, Scranton, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Very Rev. Canon Bohdan and Maria Izak; brother, Andrew; sister, Irene; and nephew, Michael. She was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Binghamton. Little One, Luba was a graduate of Marywood University, Scranton, PA and taught in the elementary schools, Donnelly and Cedarhurst Schools in the Susquehanna Valley School District. A Divine Liturgy will be offered at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 360 Clinton Street, Binghamton, Monday at 9 a.m. by Reverend Peter Tomas. Burial will be in St. Vladimir Cemetery, Scranton, PA. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday from 4-7 p.m. A Panahida Service will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Luba may be made to Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church.
