Obituary of Mary Pat Carns

Binghamton: Mary Pat Carns, 63, of Binghamton, died Friday, February 18, 2011, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was reunited with her husband, Jerry Ciaravino; and her parents, E. Francis and Mary Agnes McDevitt Carns. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis J. and Debbie Carns, Hillcrest, Eugene "Jess" and Sue Carns, Binghamton, Mike and Sharon Carns, Osprey, FL; 11 nieces and nephews; stepsons, Mark and Donna Ciaravino, Dan and Susan Ciaravino, all of Vestal. She was "Daddy's Little Girl!" She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton and attended St. Paul's School. She graduated from Catholic Central High School, Class of 1966, attended Broome Community College and received her Master's degree from SUNY Oneonta. She retired from the Susquehanna Valley School District having taught at Cedarhurst Elementary School. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Binghamton, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary Pat may be made to the Binghamton Police Athletic League, Inc., PO Box 1472, Binghamton, NY 13901.
