Obituary of Mary Linda Fimbres

Fimbres, M. Linda Burnett Binghamton: M. Linda Burnett Fimbres, 70, of Binghamton, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Frances Kilmer Burnett. She is survived by her children, Susan and Gary Hunter, Sarah and Dan Lucey, Robert and Jen Fimbres; her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Joshua, Emily, Matthew, Abigail, Ryan, Nathan, Colin; her brothers and sisters, Mickey and Ellen Burnett, Kitty and Lee Silvera, Patty and Paul McDonough, Tim and Nancy Burnett, Chuck and Annette Burnett, Barb and Jim Eggleston, Bill and Minerva Burnett, Sarah and Bob Behnke, Susie and Dan Metzar, Janet and John Deuel; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sister Alma and Sister Ellen. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, and a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy Class of 1961. She was a graduate of Binghamton General Hospital School of Nursing and a US Navy veteran, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. She was a member of the St. John Vianney Club. The family wishes to thank the staff of the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, due to renovations at St. Patrick's Church, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Linda may be made to NYS Veterans Home, 4207 State Hwy. 220, Oxford, NY 13830.
