Stephen Semcho, 80, of Binghamton, died Thursday morning, June 10, 2004 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marcy Semcho, Binghamton; his children, Stephen and Nancy Semcho, Cary, N.C., Denise and Jim Sheerin, Johnson City, Michelle and Joe D'Antuono, Apalachin; his grandchildren, Stephen A. Semcho, Nicholas A. Callahan, Matthew J. Sheerin; three sisters, Marie, Nancy and Irene; several nieces and nephews. He was a former member of St. Joseph's Lithuanian Church, Binghamton. Steve was a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker and retired from Marine Midland Bank. He was a highly decorated Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatre. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #478. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Monday at 11:30 a.m. and at 12 Noon at St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton, where a Funeral Mass will be offered by the Rev. John E. Mikalajunas. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Steve may be made to Lourdes Hospital Oncology Dept., 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
