David A. Barvinchak, 58, of Binghamton, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 2004, at the NYS Veterans Home, Oxford. He was predeceased by his father, Andrew J. Barvinchak; and his grandmother, Margaret Holland. He is survived by his mother, Marie Barvinchak, Binghamton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Thomas Keenan, Jean M. and Dr. Walid Hammoud; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Mary Jane Barvinchak, James and Sharon Barvinchak, all of Binghamton; nieces and nephews, Constance and Joseph Buchinsky, Timothy Keenan, Jennifer and Robert Warholic, Mary Pat Keenan, Danny, Adam and Andrew Hammoud, Jamie and Katie Barvinchak. David was an honorably discharged Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a graduate of Binghamton North High School and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and swimming. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Oxford Veterans Home for their wonderful care of David. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Oak and Leroy Streets, Binghamton, Saturday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of David may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund, 9 Leroy Street, Binghamton, N.Y 13905.
