Obituary of Joseph Haick

Joseph Haick, 92, of Binghamton, died Tuesday afternoon, September 29, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Sheifka Haick; his brothers, James and Charles; and his sisters, Edna, Nora, Ethel and Rose. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marie Pulcini Haick, Binghamton; his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph E. and Philippa Haick, Vestal; grandchildren, Joseph S. Haick, W. Palm Beach, Fla., Tiffany Marie Haick, New York City, Michael Dickstein, David Dickstein, Vestal; a sister, Lillian Petrisak, Chenango Bridge, Nellia and Steve Ramsey, San Jose, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and godchildren; special nephew, Louis Colavito, Vestal; special friends, Pat and Edna Lebous, Binghamton. Joe was a well known business man in downtown Binghamton and proprietor of Haick's Shoe Repair for many years. He was a former member and officer of the Sons of Lebanon. For the last 10 years, Joe was a caregiver to his wife, Marie, until his death. Joe had many friends and was a wonderful father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, on Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Judy Wank, Pastor of the Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
