Obituary of Thomas Norton

Thomas Norton, 69, of Laurel Lake, Pa., died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Anna Norton. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon Yates Norton; Laurel Lake, Pa.; his children, Thomas and Lori Norton, Jonathan Norton, Victoria Norton, all of Laurel Lake, Pa.; two grandchildren, Meghan and Madison Norton; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Marilyn Norton, Binghamton; a sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Larry Steele, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the founder of Thom Norton Co., Inc., and was a member of the Binghamton Elks B.P.O.E. #852, a member of the Moose Lodge #1013, and a former volunteer with the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Department. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Norton Hills Cemetery, Laurel Lake, Pa.
