S. Murphy Le Strange, 73, of Binghamton, died Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2003

at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda. She

is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Gregory C. Le Strange,

Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville, Lt. Col. Brian L. and

Sarah Le Strange, Ramstein AFB, Germany, Scott and Amy Le Strange, Syracuse;

seven grandchildren; her sisters, Betty and John Duffy, Binghamton, Carol

Murphy, Hillcrest; her brother, Raymond Murphy, Binghamton; several nieces and

nephews and cousins. Elaine was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church,

Binghamton and the Altar-Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies of

Charity and a retired employee of the G.A.F. Corporation.


A con-celebrated Funeral Mass will

be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Friday at 10:30 a.m., with her son as

Principal Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The

family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main

St., Binghamton Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of

Elaine may be made to Catholic Charities of Broome County, 232 Main St.,

Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
