Obituary of Geraldine T. Jones

Geraldine T. Murphy Jones, 76, of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 28, 2003, at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwyn A. Jones; her parents, James and Ethel Murphy; and a brother, Raymond Murphy. She is survived by her children, Debra and Larry Hartley, Binghamton, Rose and Chic Martin, Tempe, Ariz., Laurie and Danny Dohnalek, Potomac Falls, Va., Douglas Jones, Johnson City; her grandchildren, Jesse and Scott Hartley, Colleen Jones and Jeff Bingham, Carey and Mike Craig, Keith Kehl, Abigail and Olivia Dohnalek; great-grandchildren, Kristen and Colton Craig; her sister, Rosita Lynch, Johnson City; brother, Edward and June Murphy, Binghamton; many nieces, nephews; sisters-in-law and families, Jean and Ray Kodish, Maureen Robbins, Carol Hemeway, Marjorie Wilkins, Frances Murphy. Geraldine was an active member of St. James Church, Johnson City, and actively involved with the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She was a retired employee of Dover Electronics. She truly blessed everyone's life that she encountered. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday, at 9 a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in the Neath Cemetery, Neath, Pa. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Geraldine may be made to St. James Church Memorial Fund, 155 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
