Obituary of Lucille J. Burke

Lucille J. "Lucy" Burke, 88, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 1, 2003, at River Mede Nursing Center. She was predeceased by two loving husbands, Lloyd Martin Hopkins and Richard H. Burke; as well as a sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Charles Hollomon, Talbotton, Ga. She is survived by her only child, Gloria Botnick; and son-in-law, Matthew Botnick, Binghamton; three devoted grandchildren, Kim Botnick-Bates and Jim Botnick-Bates, David and Jill Botnick, Christopher Botnick; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Botnick-Bates and Matthew Lloyd Botnick. Lucy will be long remembered for her tenacious attitude, incredible memory and kindness toward everyone who walked in her path. The family wishes to acknowledge, with deep gatitude, the loving and caring staff of River Mede. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday, at 11:30 a.m., and at 12 noon at St. Patrick's Church, Oak and Leroy Sts., Binghamton, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
