Obituary of Marie G. Sasinek

Marie G. Sasinek, 83, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at the James G. Johnston Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, Frank Sasinek; her parents, Elizabeth and Stephen Machalek; her brothers, Stephen, Thomas, Valentine (Walt) and Victor Machalek; sisters, Johanna Machalek and Elizabeth Oswald. She is survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Ontko, Md., Frances Jakubisin, N.J., Carolyn Skiba, Tenn., Jacqueline and Larry Sanneman, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Alice Machalek, Binghamton, Phyllis Machalek, Endwell; brothers-in-law, John Sasinek, Binghamton, Milton Sasinek, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Cyril & Methodius Church, Binghamton and the Altar Rosary Society. She was a retired telephone operator with N.Y. Telephone Co. with over 25 years of service and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Marie loved her home and was devoted to her family. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9 a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Cyril and Methodius Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.
