Margaret E. “Betty” Minehan Obituary

Margaret (Betty) Minehan, 76, of Binghamton, died Thursday

morning, September 6, 2001 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She is survived by

her husband of 53 years, Joseph F. Minehan, Binghamton; her daughter, Mary Jo

Molter, Binghamton; her son, Rev. Michael P. Minehan, Pastor of St. Joseph's

Church, Lafayette; four grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan, Megan and Lauren Molter;

her sisters, Rita Nugent, Port Dickinson, Kathleen Bucher, Binghamton; several

nieces and nephews. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church,

Binghamton, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the

Bereavement Committee. She was retired Assistant Treasurer of Bankers Trust and

former parish secretary at St. Christopher's Church. Funeral services will be

held at theJ. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Monday

at 10 a.m., and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, where a Funeral Mass will

be offered by her son. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The

family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday, from 2 to 5

p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Betty may be made to St. Paul's

Church, 15 Doubleday Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901, or the Hospice Program,

c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
