Obituary of Irene Van Wallendael

VanWallendael, Irene Binghamton: Irene Van Wallendael, 91 of Binghamton died Friday February 1, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her six daughters, JoAnn and Joseph Mayko, Binghamton, Mary Elizabeth McGee, W. Palm Beach, FL, Christina Van Wallendael and husband Jay Gospodnetich, San Rafael, CA, Rene Conklin, Binghamton, Julie Van Wallendael, Seattle, WA, Agnes Jeanne "AJ" Van Wallendael, Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Elizabeth McConnell, Adrienne and Brian MacKenzie, William Conklin III; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Velma Deuel, Ann Root. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. Irene volunteered at CHOW and the soup kitchen at Tabernacle United Methodist Church. She was employed for over 30 years at the Broome County Office for Aging and co-owned Belansky's Catering Service. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Kattelville. The family will receive friends at the J.A.
