Obituary of Ann E. Keenan

Ann E. Keenan, 87, of Binghamton, died Wednesday morning, April 14, 2004, at her home. She was predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and William Schad, Catherine Keenan; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Donna Keenan. She is survived by her nephew and wife, Thomas A. and Patricia Keenan, and their children, Constance and Joseph Buchinsky, Timothy T. Keenan, Jennifer and Robert Warholic, Mary Patricia Keenan and Conor Heslin; great-niece and great-nephews, Emily K. Keenan, Martin J., Patrick T., and John A. Buchinsky, and Anthony R. Warholic. She is also survived by very special cousins, Dr. and Mrs. John (Marie) Harding, Mr. and Mrs. George (Joan) Hays, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. (June) Harding, and their families. Ann was member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton. She attended Marywood College, Syracuse University, graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, New York City, and was a supervising nurse at Binghamton General Hospital for 34 years. Ann served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II, stationed in the Philippines as a 2nd Lieutenant Nurse with multiple decorations. The family would like to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospital for their care and concern during Ann's illness. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Saturday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ann may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, N.Y. 13903.
