Marie Pulchini Haick, 90, of Binghamton, died Tuesday morning, April 6, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Joseph Haick; her parents, Luigi and Gertrude Pulchini; a sister, Penelope Colavito; and a brother, James Pulchini. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Philippa Haick, Vestal; grandchildren, Joseph S. Haick, Palm Beach, Fla., Tiffany Marie Haick, New York City, David and Michael Dickstein, Vestal; loving sister-in-law and friend, Lillian Petrisak and James Mofitt; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton. Marie was born in San Lorenzo, Italy. She spent her youth and teenage years at St. Mary's Home in Binghamton and was raised by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Marie loved music and other than her family, she was most joyous in her beauty shop on the West side of Binghamton, where she practiced for over 30 years. She was a member of the N.Y.S. Cosmetologist's Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife of 71 years. Marie's favorite saying was "No place like home; may it ever be so humble." A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, corner of Court and Fayette Streets, Binghamton, Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Marie may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of the Southern Tier, 1406 Monroe St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, N.Y.
