Elizabeth A. Broughton, 85, of Binghamton, died Monday morning, April

16, 2001, at Binghamton General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents,

Thomas and Elizabeth Broughton; a sister, Helen Broughton; and her brothers,

Thomas Jr. and Edmund Broughton. She is survived by her nieces, Donna and Jim Barry,

Linda and Ken Bobzin; her nephew, Thomas and Leslie Broughton; special

grandnieces, Lisa and Lynn; and special grandnephews, Marcus, Matthew, Michael,

Gregory and Stephen. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church,

Binghamton; retired employee of the G.A.F. Corporation and enjoyed her

retirement at her cottage at Forest Lake, Pa., where she enjoyed sailing and

fishing and enjoyed watching golf and baseball games. Betty was a very caring

and loving person and she will be sadly missed by her family. A special thank

you to Delores Cooke for all her help and love and care of our aunt. Private

funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main

St., Binghamton, Friday. Rev. Msgr. Paul A. Brigandi, will officiate. Burial

will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
