Obituary of Barbara A. Mangan

Barbara A. Mangan, 80, of Binghamton, died Wednesday evening, January 14, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Mangan; and son, Michael Mangan. She is survived by her children, Thomas and Deborah Mangan, Haddonfield, N.J., Mary and Philip Cahill, Ann and Stephen Engle, all of Binghamton; four grandchildren, Maureen, Katie, Tom and Dan; her sisters, Peggy Harney, Cambridge, Mass.; Mary Di Peri, Dorchester, Mass.; a brother, James and Joan Taylor, Dorchester, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing, Rochester, and a retired Registered Nurse at Lourdes Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff of the James G. Johnston Nursing Center and her niece, Carol Brown for their care and concern. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Saturday, at 11:30 a.m. and at 12 noon at St. Patrick's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City, in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Barbara may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
