Obituary of Marice E Barber

Barber, Marice Brackney, PA: Marice Barber, 76, of Brackney, PA, died peacefully Sunday, September 2, 2012, at her home surrounded by her daughters. She was predeceased by Sam Barber and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Tony Gawlinski, Brackney, PA, Marcina and Curtis McNeil, Binghamton, Dawn and Arnie Bennett, Brackney, PA; her grandchildren, Christina, Benjamin, Vanessa, Joseph and Gabriel; four great-grandchildren; special nephews, Jeff and Rodney Thorn. She worked at the Brackney Inn for many years and was a Rural Mail Carrier and a member of the American Legion Post 89, Vestal. Marice was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Special thanks to Hospice of the Sacred Heart of PA for their care of our mother. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 1 p.m. Reverend Kenneth Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in Quaker Lake Cemetery, Brackney, PA. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Marice may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
