Obituary of Joseph A. Tighe

Joseph A. Tighe, 82, of Binghamton, died Sunday morning, March 23, 2003 at Binghamton General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eva M. Tighe, Binghamton; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Dave Preston, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Edward Tighe, Tyner; step-son, Bob and Liz Hudak, Lake Placid; grandchildren, Tina and Ty Tighe, Christine Andersen, Valerie Preston, Mark, Steve, Luke and Jana Hudak; two great grandchildren, Veronica and Michaela Preston; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a retired 37-year employee of the G.A.F. Corporation. Private funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack & Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Wednesday. Rev. Corey S. VanKuren, Pastor of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Joe may be made to the Dialysis Program at U.H.S.
