Obituary of Rita J. Loughlin

Rita J. Loughlin, 94, of Binghamton, died Friday evening, March 21, 2003, at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Loughlin; her brothers, Very Rev. Gabriel Gorman, Rev. Ralph Gorman, James Gorman, Paul Gorman; and a sister, Frances Connelly. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Robert and Barbara Gorman, Mary Rita and Joseph Cavese, Helen and Kenneth Baker, William Loughlin, Richard Loughlin, Walter Connelly and Jerry Connelly; several great nieces and great nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Rita was a retired dietician for the city of New York. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and was the oldest living member of her class. She graduated and was president of her class at Marywood College. The family acknowledges with gratitude the staff of the 2nd floor at Elizabeth Church Manor. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. and at 12 noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
