Dorothy Dotman Obituary Dotman, Dorothy Apex, NC: Dorothy Dotman, 87, passed away peacefully at Rex Nursing Care Center, Apex, NC, on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was a longtime resident of Binghamton, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Varlan Dotman; and a son, Richard Joseph Dotman. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Dotman; and longtime friend, John Maroney, Apex, NC; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Lesa Dotman, Pinson, AL, and David Dotman, Binghamton; grandchildren, Pamela (David) Angello, NY, Jason (Laura) Hover, KS, Rhonda Dotman, Joseph (Melissa) Dotman, SC, Lance Dotman, AL, Angela Dotman, Vanessa Dotman, FL, Patrick Dotman, MA, Paul Dotman, MD, and Katie Dotman, NY; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a 51-year life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1645. Her loves were knitting, Legion functions and dances, Melody Lake picnics, and card games with the Zebrowski (Walter and Jeanette) family and being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. Burial will be in Kattelville Cemetery, Kattelville, NY. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Those wishing may consider memorial contributions to the Serowik Scholarship Fund, Auxiliary Unit 1645, PO Box 3069, Binghamton, NY 13902.
