Obituary of Charles L. Fox Sr.

Charles L. Fox, Sr., 71, of Binghamton, died Friday, February 14, 2003, at Bay Pines V.A Medical Center, Bay Pines, Fla. He was predeceased by his son, Michael J. Fox, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Lois A. Hanifin Fox, Binghamton; his children, Charles "Stub" Fox, Jr., Clearwater, Fla., Charleen and Chris Burchell, Sherry Fox, Elaine and William Alston, all of Binghamton; a stepdaughter, Jo Ann Borges, Binghamton; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Stephen Fox, Endwell, Stewart and Sandy Fox, Kirkwood; two sisters, Esther Jarman, Ft. Myers, Fla., Patricia and Bruce Grant, Binghamton; sister-in-law, Barbara Fox, Binghamton. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Binghamton, Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, member of American Legion Post 80 and a member of the Marine Corps League. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rev. R.E. Piedmonte, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday, from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
