Robert

F. Syron, 69, of Guilderland, formerly of Oneonta and Binghamton, died Friday

afternoon, January 10, 2003, at his home. He was predeceased by his wife,

Barbara Kelly Syron; his son, Thomas Syron; a sister, Elizabeth Signor; and his

mother, Helen Bellew. He is survived by his wife, Judith Syron, Guilderland; a

son and daughter-in-law, John and Colleen Syron, Norwich; a daughter and

son-in-law, Theresa and Keith Brenum, Ariz; his grandchildren, Elisabeth and

Charlie Syron, Jack Brenum, Dominick, Anthony, Alex, and Christopher Pilotti;

stepchildren, Matthew and Lisa Pilotti, Christopher Pilotti, Teresa and Kevin

Smith; three brothers, Joseph and Joan Syron, Guilderland, James and Rita

Syron, Binghamton, Michael Syron, Oneonta; two sisters, Barbara and Paul

Lambert, Cooperstown, Mary Ellen and Frank Antonucci, Washingtonville; special

brother-in-law, Joseph Signor, Oneonta; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was

a former manager for Northrup Supply and retired sales representative for

Blount Lumber. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He had his

greatest pleasure in the company of his grandchildren and was an avid sports

fan.


Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main

St., Binghamton, Wednesday, at 12 noon. Rev. Thomas J. Ryan will officiate.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive

friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until service

time at 12 noon. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be made to
