Carrie

Mazzone Cleary, 91, of Port Dickinson, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy

Mother Church, died Sunday, December 15, 2002 in Chesterfield, Mo. She was

predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Cleary in 1977. She is survived by her

daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and William Durbin, St. Louis, Mo; her

grandchildren, Ellen and Chris Cook, Littleton, Colo., Maureen and Kent

Eversmeyer, Huntsville, Ala., Thomas Schaefer, St. Louis, Mo.; her

great-grandchildren, Garrett and Jonathan Cook, Meagan and Austin Eversmeyer;

her sisters, Nell Stevens and Nora Venturine; sisters-in-law, Martha Mazzone,

Mae Conley, Mary Cleary; as well as many nieces and nephews. Carrie was a

member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Hillcrest. She was a graduate of the

Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing and worked at the Medical Depot

during the war and was employed as a school nurse/teacher by the Binghamton

School system for 60 years. She also serviced some of the Catholic Schools in

Binghamton.


Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main

St., Binghamton, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of

Siena Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary

Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack

Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.
