Obituary of Thomas N. Quanne

Thomas N. Quanne, 61, of Binghamton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2002. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Quanne; and his brothers, James and Robert Quanne; a sister, Nancy Charter and brother-in-law, Joseph Filetto. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Dan Fitzgerald, Binghamton, Kirsten and Larry Robey, Md.; five grandchildren that he adored, Christian, Anthony, Briese, Levi, and Jared; his good friend and mother of his children, Marlene Martino, Binghamton; brother, John and Carol Quanne, Fla.; sister, Mary and Glenn Hankle, Albany; sister-in-law, Bonnie Quanne; several nieces and nephews and many good friends. Tom was retired from the Binghamton Fire Department, retiring after years of service. He was a member of the Binghamton Fireman's Benevolent Association and a member of the Endicott Sons of Italy, a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Fellowship. He was a founder of Quancrete. How do you thank someone for a thousand laughs? Thank you T.Q.! Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday, at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tenn. 38105, or the Danielle House, 160 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
