Helen Agnes O'Neil McMahon, 91, of Binghamton, died Tuesday evening, August 13, 2002 at Elizabeth Church Manor after a long life. She was born March 28, 1911 and was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. McMahon; brothers, Rev. Arthur O'Neil and George O'Neil; daughter, Mary McMahon Doyle; and granddaughter, Christine Gallagher. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dick Gallagher, Williamsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jan McMahon, Binghamton; son-in-law, Jimmy Doyle, Villa Hills, Ky.; four grandchildren, Mike Gallagher, Orchard Park, Rick Gallagher, Williamsville, Lindsey and Patrick McMahon, Binghamton; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marion O'Neil, Mary McMahon, Vivian McMahon, Teresa and John Burns. Helen was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. During her life, Helen taught for 30 years in the Broome County Catholic School System at the Elementary level and retired from St. Cyril's School. The family wishes to thank the Elizabeth Church Manor staff for their help and support. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
