Frederick E. Keeley, 83, of Johnson City,

died Tuesday morning, August 13, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was

predeceased by his wife, Bess Keeley; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Keeley and

Andrew Keeley. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and

Aloysius Shipman, Waverly; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick and Donna

Keeley, Johnson City, Mark and Victoria Keeley, Ala.; his grandchildren, Lori

and Barry Klempel, James and Kathryn Keeley, Rachel Keeley, Michael Keeley,

Jacqueline Shipman, Jeffrey Shipman; two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Klempel,

Jeffrey Klempel. Fred was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Binghamton. He

was a retired 37 year employee of the IBM Corporation and a member of the IBM

Quarter Century Club. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be

held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton,

Saturday at 11 a.m. Deacon Harold Leverknight will officiate. Burial will be in

Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack

Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of

sympathy, in memory of Fred may be made to the American Lung Association of Mid
