Warren "Sherm" Sherman, 79, of Binghamton, passed away Thursday morning, November 9, 2000 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters, a granddaughter, Lynne Marie Gallagher, and his first wife, Evelyn Sherman. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Dorothy (Gabello) Sherman; a sister, Theresa Hines; his children, John and Rosemarie Sherman, Jaqueline and Robert Sickles; step-children, George and Kathy Gabello, Michael and Mary Lou Gabello, Judith and Mike Sackett, Rita Mueller and fiancee, Terry Lindow, Stephen and Katie Gabello, Paula and Jon Edwards; grandchildren, Denise Sherman and Mark Karas, Sandra and Bill Riefler, Karin and Mike Trumbley, Meredith Sickles and Nick Sharak, John Jr.; step-grandchildren, Dom and Jimmy Gabello, Jennifer and Chris Bolt, Kristi, Kelly, Mickey Gabello, Gia Mueller, Danny, Matt, Stevie, Emmy Gabello, Andria and Liz Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Riefler, Aaron and Justin Bolt; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton; past Vice President of Operations for Berman Motor Express; past employee of Roots Express and currently worked for B & I Express; Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 1645; member of the Triple Cities Traffic Club and AARP and Tour Director of South Side Golden Agers. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Sherm may be made to any charitable organization. .
