Obituary of Gertrude A. Barth

Gertrude A. Barth, of Binghamton, died Tuesday morning, June 11, 2002 at River Mede Manor Health Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl F. Barth; her parents, Sylvester and Mary Quinn; her sister, Elizabeth; brothers, Daniel and Raymond Quinn; and a very dear friend, Fred Keeney. She is survived by a nephew, Robert J. and Ann Quinn, Binghamton; several great-nieces and nephews; several cousins, including a special cousin, Marion Kretsch, Binghamton. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton and the Over 50 Club. She was past president of the Frank A. Johnson American Legion Post 758 Auxiliary. Gertrude was a retired 40 year employee of the G.A.F. Corporation, a member of AARP and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
