Joseph F. Cooney, 77, of Vestal, died

Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He is survived by his

wife of 43 years, Martha Race Cooney, Vestal; a daughter and son-in-law,

Patrice and Peter Kofira, Endwell; two sons, Francis Cooney and Cheryl Button,

Port Crane, Paul L. Cooney, Port Crane; two granddaughters, Kimberly and

Breanne Cooney; a sister, Kathryn Kincer, Binghamton. He was a member of St.

Andrew's Church, Binghamton and a retired 31 year employee of Cae-Link Corp.

The family wishes to thank the Vestal Nursing Center Elmridge Staff, Billie

Joe, Melissa, Jackie, Ann, Spring, Kim, Kathy, Diane and Angie, and all who

helped care for our dad during his stay at the nursing home. A Memorial Mass

will be offered at St. Andrew's Church Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 10 a.m. Graveside

services will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, Saturday, July 20,

2002 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Michael T. Meagher will officiate. In lieu of flowers,

expressions of sympathy may be made to American Diabetes Association, 356 N.

Midler Ave., Syracuse, N.Y. 13206, or American Heart Association, 59 Court St.,

Binghamton, N.Y. 13902, or Charot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), 2700 Chestnut
