Obituary of Mary P. Muldoon

Mary Pat Muldoon-Hess, 45, of Endwell, passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her father, William; her sister, Christine; and a special uncle, Jack Leonard, Boston, Mass. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Muldoon, Endwell; her children, Sarah, Binghamton, Rachel, Vestal, Joe and Nina, Endwell; her sisters, Rene and her husband Kevin Murray, Binghamton, Annmarie Muldoon, Richmond, Va.; a brother, James Muldoon, Syracuse; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; also a special aunt, Terry Leonard; her best friend and cousin, Barbara and Tom Hutchings; and her godson, Jack Hutchings, all of Boston, Mass. Mary had many friends in the Richmond area, among them, Iva and William Condrey, Jack and Pauline Condrey, Suzanne Mehford and Brenda Vargus. Mary was a devout and active member of Christ the King Church, Endwell. Mary received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Binghamton University. She was employed by UHS at Binghamton General Hospital in the Dialysis Unit. She had many wonderful friends among her co-workers. She was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. Mary's life was devoted to her children and her family. Her love of nursing was surpassed only by her love for her children. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 9:15 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to S.P.E.A.K., 351 Flint Rd., Maine, N.Y., or Christ the King Church, 1501 Davis Ave., Endwell, N.Y. 13760.
