Murray, William J. Chenango Bridge: William J. Murray, 84, died Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Murray and a grandson, John. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kathleen Ryan Murray; his children, Colleen and Tim Conklin, William J. and Joanne Murray Jr., Kelly and Bill Hatton; grandchildren, Tim, Todd, Ryan, Megan, Brendon, William III, Caitlin, Casey, Cynthia, Kyle, Tina; great-grandchildren, Timmy, Daniel, Benjamin, Matthew, Heather, Amber, Grady, Klara, Brody, Logan, Donovan; a sister, Eleanor Gingell; brother, Thomas and Margaret Murray; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest. Bill was the retired proprietor of William J. Murray Plumbing and Heating and a 68 year member of Local 112. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War; a member of the American Legion Post 1194; life member of V.F.W. Post 478: D.A.V. and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Bill enjoyed his many years at Sandy Pond. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest, Friday, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Bill may be made to the American Heart Assoc. , 59 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
