Paul L. Cooney, 50, of Port Crane, died

unexpectedly Friday, July 26, 2002 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph F. Cooney; his mother, Agnes M.

Cooney; and a brother, Stephen Cooney. He is survived by his mother, Martha

Cooney, Vestal; his twin sister and brother-in-law, Patrice and Peter Kofira,

Endwell; brother, Francis Cooney and fiance, Cheryl Button, Port Crane; two

nieces, Kimberly and Breanne Cooney; his aunt, Kathryn Kincer, Binghamton;

several cousins and a special friend, Barbara Newman. Paul was a member of

Immaculate Conception Church, Greene; Air Force veteran of the Vietnam

Conflict; employee of the Binghamton Psychiatric Center for 20 years; and a

member of C.S.E.A. Local 1000. Paul was a very compassionate and caring person

who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be

offered at Immaculate Conception Church, 1180 State Hwy. 206, Greene, Tuesday

at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will

receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street,

Binghamton, Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Paul

may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 1180 State Hwy. 206, Greene, N.Y.
